Abstract

Deep neural networks (DNNs) make several Internet of Things (IoT) applications possible, such as driver assistance systems and drone monitoring. However, the computational and energy cost of DNNs significantly limit their adoption in IoT devices, which have limited hardware. One solution is to use an external edge computing infrastrucutre, located close to the device, which assists with processing tasks. This work plan aims to develop IoT applications supported by an edge computing infrastructure.
