Abstract

The undergraduate research fellow will develop a project to construct species distribution models to understand the diversity patterns of these mammals in the Cerrado and their relationship with environmental and geographical variables. For the models, the fellow will use occurrence data of species distributed throughout the biome obtained from literature and the mammal collection of the Museum of Zoology at the University of São Paulo, as well as data collected during field expeditions planned under this proposal. In addition, the fellow will participate in the routine research activities of the mammal laboratory and curation at MZUSP with the Technical Training fellows, undergraduate research students, and graduate students.
