Abstract

This scientific initiation project aims, firstly, to familiarize the student with fundamental concepts of ultrashort pulses and nonlinear optics, in the context of materials processing. Specifically, the student must produce waveguides in the volume of glassy materials with femtosecond pulses, determining the optimal depth conditions to obtain guides with a more uniform cross-sectional profile.
