Abstract

This research intends to analyze the presence of means of transport in the poetic, critical, and translational work of Ana Cristina Cesar. Our initial hypothesis is that images of transport, displacement, and crossing help to understand structural aspects of her poetry. In this sense, the research proposes a reflection on the issues of translation and rhythm as a way of relating to the crossing of reading, which may evoke other issues important to the poetry of Ana Cristina Cesar, such as the relations with the reader. To accomplish this objective, we propose the analyses of these themes and devices, in the context of her Critical Reception and the debate conducted by some literary critics and theorists, both those read by Ana Cristina Cesar and the readers of her productions.
