Abstract

This project aims to analyze a specific dimension of discrimination in the Brazilian labor market, in which workers who filed lawsuits against their former employers are blacklisted by firms. By doing so, we study the potential existence of an employment bias against workers who take legal action against the firm's decisions and attitudes. To study this phenomenon, we will use two different databases: (i) the Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS), which contains data on all formal labor contracts in the country, and (ii) data on labor cases of the Regional Labor Court of the 2nd Region.
