Abstract

The aim of this research project is to develop new synthetic methods and applications allowing the functionalization of organic molecules from the transfer of free carbenes generated by visible light irradiation. More specifically, this research proposal involves two sub-projects: i) to study multicomponent reactions between diazo compounds, oxidizing agents and nucleophiles, aiming at products formally derived from the Aldol rection, which can serve as building blocks to more complex molecules; and ii) to study the synthesis and application of ¿-diazo posphonates in N-H insertion reactions with amines, thus aiming at an unterior application of derivatives thereof as agents for the functionalization of proteins
