Abstract In this MsC project, we propose the synthesis of 2 relevant active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) with high demand in the pharmaceutical market, Buclizine and Cinnarizine, which are active ingredients of drugs used in brain disorders, nausea, vomiting, various syndromes and other socially relevant diseases. Our proposal involves batch and continuous flow development, using some photocatalytic and electrosynthetic methodologies recently developed in our laboratory at UFSCar.From a synthetic point of view, our proposals are based on carrying out sequential reductive aminations using photocatalytic or electrosynthetic approaches for both APIs.In general, with this project, we intend to valorize the efforts and results of our team obtained in recent years, applying the knowledge and solutions in the synthesis of relevant molecules using continuous conditions. Above all, we want to generate knowledge and high-level training for the candidate of this grant, both in the concepts and procedures of organic synthesis and in the skills to operate continuous flow systems. | |
