Abstract

This project aims to establish the reverse genetics platform for recombinant NDV production and generation of rNDVs with enhanced oncolytic and immunostimulatory effects in canine mammary cancer cells. Using In-Fusion cloning technology, we intend to generate 3 recombinant NDV strains expressing granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), thymidine kinase (TK), and cytosine deaminase (CD). Then, we will characterize and determine their oncolytic effects in different animal cancer cell lines using in vitro (high-throughput analysis) and in vivo models. Finally, with the data provided from this project we believe that an innovative and efficient new therapy can be developed to treat cancer in different mammal species.
