Abstract

The project is a part of the 'Mental Health at School' study, which evaluates the implementation of an intervention offered by the Ame Sua Mente Institute (IASM). This institute is a part of Module III of the National Center for Research and Innovation in Mental Health (CISM). The aim of the project is to implement effective and scalable interventions in the municipalities of Indaiatuba and Jaguariúna in partnership with the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and the UniEduk group (UniMAX, UNIFAJ, and FAAGROH). The intervention consists of an asynchronous e-learning training on mental health, composed of 7 self-study and interactive modules in a 32-hour training course, combined with the provision of complementary support tools for educators, managers and the school community in general, from 14 and 17 schools in the municipal networks of Indaiatuba and Jaguariúna, respectively, with the aim of preventing mental disorders in the school environment through early intervention, by increasing the capacity of educators to identify, manage and refer students. This project involves tutoring Module II on Anxiety Disorders and Module V on Challenges in everyday school life:drug use and practical aspects aimed at improving skills in identifying, managing, and referring cases related to anxiety disorders and drug use prevention.
