Abstract The research project aims to analyze in the laboratory the amount of debris extruded through the apical foramen, preparation time and also the quality of root dentin cleaning after the use of low taper instrumentation systems, associated with endodontic irrigation protocols in lower molars. humans with root curvature. Thirty human lower molars extracted with mesial root canals with curvatures comprising angles between 10o and 20o and independent foramina used in the study after donation from patients treated at a dental clinic at PUC-Campinas. The specimens will be randomly distributed by draw into 2 groups (n=15): Reciproc Blue (RPB) and RMotion (RMT). To collect debris during the instrumentation of the respective systems, only the mesial roots will be attached to the eppendorfs. A preparation equivalent to apical diameter #25 will be carried out in conjunction with double-distilled water irrigation throughout the preparation. The mesiobuccal and mesiolingual canals will be instrumented. The actual preparation time with each system will be timed for analysis. Subsequently, the weight of the debris extruded through the foramen will be obtained by subtracting the final weight from the initial weight of the eppendorfs. To evaluate the intradentinal cleaning of irrigation protocols, the distal roots of the molars will be prepared to caliber # 30.07 (Protaper Next X3) and will be randomly divided into two groups using the protocol of shaking/irrigating 1% methylene blue dye 30s: sonic irrigation (SON) and double sided needle (IRD). Next, the roots will be transversely sectioned into the cervical, middle and apical thirds, for analysis under operative microscopy at 25X magnification for the presence of dye in depth.Statistical analysis: initially the data will be organized for descriptive statistics and then the D'Agostino normality test will be applied. Depending on the normal behavior of the sample, the t-test (student) will be used, however, if the sample presents non-normal behavior, the Mann-Whitney test will be applied. | |
