Abstract

The objective of this project is to analyze health practices and forms of (re) production of life among migrant women and LGBTQ+ individuals in Mexico City, from a comparative and intersectional ethnographic perspective. Framed within a regional dialogue, the project aims to expand analytical horizons regarding themes I have been addressing over the past few years, related to south-south migrations, health-disease-care processes, and (re) production of life in metropolitan contexts, specifically in São Paulo and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. I hope to establish comparisons between these migratory contexts and Mexico City while simultaneously conducting a survey on the local production of knowledge regarding the approach to these intersecting themes, fostering collaboration between the involved institutions.
