Abstract

Based on the debate on the importance of the body and music and in compliance with the relationship between body and music in Candomblé, this scientific initiation project aims to investigate the processes of teaching and learning music in the context of Candomblé, as well as technical repertoires and poetics that make up terreiro musicality can contribute to teaching music in an Afro-referenced way. In compliance with Law 10,639/03, which since 2003 has made the teaching of Afro-Brazilian history and culture mandatory in basic education, this project seeks elements to think about and make musical education engaged with anti-racist education.
