Abstract The Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) is a movement within the Catholic Church, present in Brazil since 1969, which has grown significantly, increasingly attracting young people, driven by the strategic use of digital media. The CCR offers young people a sense of belonging and security through prayer groups, healing sessions, and community activities to strengthen their faith. This ethnographic study investigates how the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) uses media and technology to disseminate conservative values among young people, focusing on values related to sexuality and gender roles. The research examines technology-mediated practices, youth integration dynamics, and constructions of gender and sexuality within the CCR. | |
