Abstract

The research proposal aims to problematize and address the issue of teacher education, from the perspective of the teacher educator. In this sense, we aim to identify, understand and describe the role and actions of the teacher educator, when designing and enacting formative tasks that address secondary mathematics, to promote professional learning of in-service teachers. This research proposal is related to and aims to complement a previous study, funded by Fapesp-Seduc/SP, within the scope of the "ProEduca" program. Considering the scenario of continuity of the indicated study, after two cycles of intervention (2023 and 2024) based on the Design Reserch method, we will take the data collected throughout the aforementioned study, namely, (i) video and audio recordings; (ii) collection of documents (protocols produced by teachers and teacher educators, lesson plans, and others); and (iii) interviews with teachers and teacher educators, for retrospective analysis. We hope to understand the role and actions of teacher educator (role of resources, orientations and goals) by participating in the design of the formative process and by proposing professional learning tasks (making- decisions process) to in-service teachers in order to promoting collective discussions between teachers and teacher educators.
