Abstract The design of environmentally sustainable processes that can be implemented quickly, objectively and safely is one of the main challenges faced by modern chemists. In recent years, mechanochemistry has emerged as a significant alternative for chemical synthesis, standing out for its efficiency, practicality and sustainability. At the same time, the principles of Green Chemistry, which have gained relevance in the last two decades, have driven the development of more sustainable methods in chemical science. In this context, the present project aims to use biomass-derived olefins, such as terpenes and terpenoids, in olefin metathesis reactions, such as Ring-Closing Metathesis (RCM) and Cross Metathesis (CM) reactions using high-throughput experimentation (HTE) under mechanochemical conditions. We hope that this work will provide a comprehensive understanding of the selectivity for CM x RCM reactions under milling, overcoming limitations observed in the liquid phase and valuing the use of renewable resources | |
