Abstract

Abstract: Introduction: In the last decade, there has been a considerable increase in the rates of psychoactive drug use among adolescents in Brazil, as well as the early onset of sexual activity (up to 14 years old), and neglect of condom use. Despite being issues that significantly impact health and social spheres, studies addressing the relationship between these factors are scarce and require further exploration. Objectives: To investigate the existence of a relationship between the use of psychoactive substances, early sexual debut, and condom use among Brazilian adolescents of school age. Methods: Data from the 2019 edition of the National School Health Survey (PeNSE) will be used to investigate the data of students aged 15 to 17 who use psychoactive substances, have had their first sexual intercourse early, and did not use a condom during their first sexual intercourse. Expected Results: It is expected to find a large number of adolescents who simultaneously use psychoactive substances, have had early sexual debut, and did not use a condom during their first sexual intercourse. It would suggest that there is an association between these factors and that providing medical and psychological support should not be underestimated for individuals in this age group.
