Abstract

The project seeks to understand how heparin interacts with antithrombin, an essential protein in the coagulation process, and how this interaction influences its ability to inhibit angiogenic processes, such as the formation of new blood vessels. Studies suggest that chemical modification of heparin may alter antithrombin's antiangiogenic activity, offering a potential therapeutic approach to regulate angiogenesis in pathological conditions.
