Abstract

The proposal aims to deepen the concepts of border, edge and limit, based on an empirical approach to the eastern railroad context in Argentina. The research focuses on the cities of Concordia and Salto, located on the Argentine-Uruguay border and connected by an international railway bridge. The method adopted is the Cartography of the Sensitive, which proposes analyzing a territory beyond what is evident, but rather looking through gaps and loopholes that make it possible to access the power and complexity of these spaces, enhanced by a dynamism typical of a border territory. The main objective is to analyze how certain aspects perceived in the production of the urban space of Concordia and Salto, from their edges, limits and borders, can prospectively indicate possible crossings to other railway contexts, so as to make visible other layers and intrinsic values of these spaces in the contemporary urban context.
