Abstract

Creativity is the ability to produce something original and appropriate to the context for which it was intended. Parenting styles are the ways in which parents deal with issues of power, hierarchy, and emotional support regarding their children, having a significant influence on areas of great importance in development. The objective of the study is to analyze whether there is a relationship between parenting styles and individuals' creativity. The research will be descriptive, inferential, with a quantitative approach. The sample will consist of 50 participants 50 participants aged between 18 and 25, of both sexes, who will respond online to two instruments. The first consists of two activities from the "Thinking Creatively with Words" test, which will test the participants' creative verbal fluency and flexibility, and the second, the Parental Authoritative Questionnaire (PAQ), seeks to evaluate the concepts that Baumrind brings about parenting styles (permissive, authoritarian, and authoritative).
