Abstract

This research aims to construct ecosystem services and resilience curves in tree species in the city of São Paulo by monitoring key physiological processes and characterizing environmental conditions. To construct the curves, primary physiology data will be obtained, such as: growth and carbon accumulation through dendometry; promotion of thermal comfort through measurements of sap flow, evapotranspiration, stomatal conductance, temperature and leaf area index. Stable isotopes will be used in growth rings to assess resilience. Microclimatic data will be incorporated into the curve construction model. This PD position requires skills in the field of Ecophysiology and Ecosystem Services, with experience in analysis and interpretation of growth rates and maintenance of tree species, isotopic analysis in plants, climatic aspects, implementation and manipulation of field databases and use of machine learning models.
