Abstract Introduction: Tuberculosis remains a public health challenge in Brazil and worldwide, representing one of the main causes of mortality from infectious diseases. This disease, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, persists mainly in urban contexts and must be combated through public policies, health strategies and therapeutic interventions in order to prevent the population from becoming ill, improving quality of life.Objective: To address the epidemiological profile of tuberculosis in the city of São Paulo to understand the defined characteristics of the population in each Regional Health Coordination Office in the municipality.Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, based on primary and secondary data on tuberculosis control actions and cases reported in the city of São Paulo between 2019 and 2022 through the city's Regional Health Coordination Offices.Expected Results: To describe the epidemiological profile of tuberculosis in the city of São Paulo and also specifically for each Regional Health Coordination Office. The analysis will allow the investigation of social, economic and environmental factors that influence each region of the city and will provide a broad view of the data found. | |
