Abstract

Introduction: Climacteric is associated with physical, psychological, vaginal and sexual symptoms. Hormone therapy is the treatment for sexual dysfunctions at this stage of life, however not all women can receive hormone replacement therapy. Non-hormonal therapies have been proposed, however not all of them present consistent scientific evidence to justify their use in climacteric women. Objective: To evaluate through a systematic review the efficacy and safety of Flibanserin in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction (FSD) in postmenopause. Methods: A systematic review will be carried out using an electronic search strategy through the PubMed platform, using keywords as a basis. Selection of studies: All randomized clinical trials, in English and Portuguese, published in the last 10 years that present data on the use of flibanserin in the treatment of FSD in postmenopause will be included. The selection process will be carried out through the Rayaan platform and conducted by reviewers. Data extraction: Articles that meet the inclusion criteria will be selected and, after reading the abstract, will be raised and read in full. Quality assessment and data analysis: The data quality will be assessed to conclude on the evidence and applicability of flibanserin in the treatment of FSD. It is expected to obtain data on the quality of the evidence regarding the use of flibanserin in the treatment of sexual dysfunction in climacteric women.
