Abstract

Develop a Brazilian clinical guideline on the physiotherapeutic treatment of women with SUI.Methods: This will be a multicenter study following the recommendations of the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research & Evaluation (AGREE) Instrument Version II. The development of the clinical guideline will include four phases:Phase 1. Surveying Brazilian physiotherapists' clinical questions about physiotherapeutic treatment for non-neurogenic SUI;Phase 2. Conducting a literature search and extracting the available scientific evidence related to the clinical questions formulated in Phase 1;Phase 3. Determining the strength of recommendation for the evidence, with input from women's health professionals, administrators, and women with UI regarding the physiotherapeutic treatment of non-neurogenic SUI;Phase 4. Disseminating the Brazilian Clinical Guideline on physiotherapeutic treatment for non-neurogenic SUI. The Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluation (GRADE) system will be used to assess the certainty of the evidence and the strength of the recommendations.
