Abstract In this project, we propose an analysis of the institutional dimension of Patriarchy through an investigative approach to foundational works of Radical, Marxist, and Black feminism, guided by the theoretical-methodological propositions of paper Institutional Analysis. Our main objective is to investigate, considering the categories of sex, class, and race, how the institution of Patriarchy is constituted and perpetuated within society, ensuring the hegemony of male power across various spheres and maintaining the hierarchy between male and female sexual classes. This process shapes behaviors, discourses, and relationships between these groups. We find the contributions of paper Institutional Analysis particularly fruitful for this investigation, as it allows us to unveil the institutional dimension of Patriarchy in its complexity, historical and social constitution, and its ramifications within society. This research proposal is justified by its academic and social relevance, given the originality of the approach and the significant gap in studies addressing this topic using the chosen methodology. Additionally, it underscores the urgency of understanding the mechanisms that sustain gender inequality and as well as the exploring possibilities for subverting this reality. | |
