Abstract

This Scientific Initiation project aims to conduct a dramaturgical research that combines theory, dramatic literature and a collaborative process to produce scenic material that reflects the poetic re-signification that theater can bring to the representation of youth in contexts of marginality in Latin America.The research will be guided by the language of fantastic realism, analyzed through the plays Buraquinhos ou o vento é inimigo do picumã (2018) by the paulistano playwright Jhonny Salaberg, and Heroes And Saints (1994) by chicana writer Cherrie Moraga. Based on theoretical reflections, collaborative creation practices in theater will be carried out in a study group. The creation process will involve artist-educators who are members of TEIMA Coletiva, a university extension group coordinated by Prof. Dr. Maria Alice Possani from UNICAMP, which has been carrying out artistic-pedagogical activities with children and youth from the communities of the Campinas Metropolitan Region.The focus will be on the Coletiva's work in the territories of the Feminist Community Menino Chorão in Campo Belo, Campinas, and the Marielle Vive Camp in Valinhos. The pedagogical, artistic, and sensitive experiences of the artist-educators in these communities will be central material for collaborative experiments that will culminate in a scenic-dramaturgical structure, which will explore the relationship between youth and territory through the poetic lens of fantastic realism.
