Abstract The grand goal behind this project is to go a step forward concerning interpreting phenomena from the point of view of uniformly accelerated observers in terms of the Unruh effect to mount more shreds of evidence that the Unruh effect is necessary to keep the consistency of quantum field theory. Ultimately, we aim to strengthen the collaboration of our group with experimentalists able to observe such phenomena in the laboratory, which would be a great achievement considering that the Unruh effect was unveiled almost half a century ago. As a result of this project, we also expect extra spin-offs which may range from a better understanding of conceptual aspects of the Hawking radiation to quantum field theory itself. | |
