Abstract

Pulp tissue regeneration is challenging due to anatomical irregularities and individual variations, which limits the effectiveness of conventional treatments. This highlights the need for new minimally invasive therapeutic approaches and the development of adaptable materials that not only fit precisely at the defect site but also promote the migration and differentiation of resident cells from the apical papilla, a process known as cell homing therapy. This project aims to develop injectable scaffolds with a macroporous and interconnected structure capable of stimulating pulp regeneration. Initially, ColMA concentrations will be tested to identify the optimal formulation through physicochemical and mechanical characterization (Phase 1). Subsequently, cell viability will be assessed, focusing on pulp regeneration, through Live/Dead and AlamarBlue assays with apical papilla cells (Phase 2). In the end, qualitative data will be analyzed descriptively, and quantitative data will undergo specific statistical analysis.
