Abstract

In the context of the usage of wave tanks for analyzing vertical-axis wind turbines (VAWTs) for the OTIC's LCP2 project, the parametric optimization of the current passive absorber of the Wave Tank Laboratory via numerical methods is proposed here. In order to do so, a experimental-numerical coupling methodology of the permeability coefficient of the material is expected to be elaborated, such as low and high-order numerical models of the tank and numerical tools for parametric optimization of such devices. The project aims to achieve such objectives in a term of 24 months, with the support of OTIC, OTTO Lab., and RCGI's infrastructure and developed tools.
