Abstract

This Ph.D project investigates the didactic perspectives externalized by the debate on literature teaching in the theses and dissertations of the Languages and Literatures Postgraduate of São Paulo State University (Unesp), namely: Languages and Literatures (Letras), from the Faculty of Sciences and Languages and Literatures, Assis campus; Literary Studies, from the Faculty of Sciences and Languages and Literatures, Araraquara campus and Languages and Literatures (Letras), from the Institute of Biosciences, Languages and Literatures and Exact Sciences, São José do Rio Preto campus. The state of the art (FERREIRA, 2002) will be used to bring together bibliographic productions from 1979, the beginning of the foundation of Postgraduate programs, to 2022. The literary object is discussed as a pedagogical element and the impact of this debate on literature teachers education. The research is based on the articulation between qualitative (LUDKE; ANDRÉ, 2015) and quantitative (GATTI, 2012; LOPES, 2006) methodological perspectives, considering the 58 theses/dissertations as corpus, as well as documentary analysis (LUDKE; ANDRÉ , 2015) and categorization (BARDIN, 2002). The social and scientific relevance of this investigation consists in understanding how the didacticization of literature is approached by researches from the Languages and Literatures Postgraduate program, an important space for promotion of literature teachers education who work in public schools.
