Abstract This research project investigates the challenge of managing collaboration, relationships and coordination among heterogeneous actors in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems. The relevance of this topic lies in the essential role of collaboration for the success of these ecosystems, since the diversity of actors can generate conflicts and coordination difficulties, and the absence of effective management can result in the loss of promising innovations. Innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems are characterized by complex and multidimensional relationships, where the performance of one actor can affect, in different ways, the performance of others. The main objective of this research is to analyze and understand how to effectively manage collaboration, relationships and coordination among heterogeneous actors in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems. This exploratory study adopts a Case Study methodology, with content analysis, and will be developed in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem of the Manchester region, England. The Manchester ecosystem exemplifies a vibrant and diverse environment, with a rich presence of universities, companies, governments, investors and organizations that support entrepreneurship. Furthermore, it stands out for its robust infrastructure for innovation, including technology parks, incubators and startup accelerators. This initial study seeks to contribute to an in-depth understanding of the management of collaboration, relationships and coordination in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems. It is also proposed as a preliminary exploratory project that will support the development of a regular project proposal, in collaboration with international researchers. The final project will be submitted to FAPESP with the aim of developing a conceptual model for the management of collaboration, relationships and coordination in innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems. | |
