Abstract

This scientific initiation project examines creative economy and digital technology in family farming in Junqueirópolis, São Paulo. The research investigates how digital technologies can be used to enhance the marketing of family agricultural products, highlighting the importance of these technologies, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The introduction of digital means in agriculture faces challenges in Brazil, such as digital exclusion and inequality in internet access, particularly affecting rural areas. The study focuses on the Agricultural Association of Junqueirópolis (AAJ), where 85% of rural properties engage in family farming, aiming to understand current practices in the use of digital technologies, local needs and challenges, and farmers' perceptions of these technologies. Specific objectives include mapping the use of digital technologies by AAJ members, analyzing the needs and challenges faced by farmers, and identifying perceptions and expectations regarding these technologies. The methodology combines historical-structural analysis with literature review, semi structured interviews, and field research, including participant observation and document analysis. The study aims to contribute solutions to overcome obstacles faced by family farmers in Junqueirópolis and promote greater digital inclusion, thereby enhancing product marketing and income generation in family agriculture.
