Abstract

Care work has always been delegated mainly to women, as it was seen as something natural and intrinsic to the feminine essence. With the passage of time and advances resulting from feminist struggles, countless rights were won by women, however, in a capitalist, patriarchal and sexist society, many problems remain the same or have had very few advances, such as domestic care, which continues to be at its greatest part of women's responsibility. In addition to carrying out domestic work and working outside the home, many women also develop the role of community leadership in the territory in which they are located, seeking improvements that should come from the State. Based on this, this study aims to understand the meanings and meanings related to the production of care provided by women who develop community leadership roles in a highly socially vulnerable territory in the municipality of Cubatão in São Paulo. Information will be obtained through semi-structured interviews that will last approximately 1 hour. In turn, the results will be analyzed based on Depth Hermeneutics (THOMPSON, 2011). The research is expected to lead to discussions in the group that encourage dialogue and exchanges between participants about the importance of the work carried out by community leaders and the need to care for the people they care for. It is also hoped, through these conversations, to strengthen ties, experiences and the feeling of community. Finally, it is considered that this research can strengthen the ties between the health service, the community and the University.
