Abstract

This activity plan refers to the undergraduate research (IC No. 2) and includes the actions described in the scope of the JP-FAPESP project, especially for the study of AISI-H13 steel (UNS T20813), which foresees the modeling and experimental analysis of the mechanical behavior of architectural structures manufactured by additive manufacturing. In this project, samples of AISI-H13 steel will be studied, which will be manufactured by the powder bed fusion technique with a high-power laser source (PBF-LB), equipped with technology that allows the control of the diameter and shape of the heat distribution of the beam. In this sense, an experimental study will be carried out to evaluate the mechanical behavior under compression of architectural structures with thinner walls than conventional ones using the digital image correlation (DIC) system. The experimental data from the metallographic analysis will also be analyzed in this work. (AU)
