Abstract This activity plan refers to a direct doctoral scholarship (DD No. 2) and includes the actions described within the scope of the JP-FAPESP project that foresees computational simulation and experimental analysis of the mechanical behavior of architectural structures manufactured by additive manufacturing. This project will study samples of Maraging M300 steel that will be manufactured by the powder bed fusion technique with a high-power laser source (PBF-LB), equipped with technology that allows the control of the diameter and shape of the heat distribution of the beam. In this sense, an experimental study will be carried out that combined with computational analysis will allow the prediction of the mechanical behavior under compression and traction of architectural structures with thinner walls than conventional ones. A computational model will be developed and improved based on experimental data that will be collected after the mechanical tests that will be performed using the digital image correlation (DIC) system. The experimental metallographic data will also be analyzed in this work. | |
