Abstract

The mangrove is a tropical coastal ecological system, between the terrestrial and marine environment, located in low lands at the mouths of rivers and estuaries, with soil flooded by tidal variations and having a large variation in salinity (CORREIA and SOVIERZOSK, 2005. page-24 ). This ecosystem is often attributed with extremely important ecosystem services related to different aspects of human life and of a climatic nature (SANTOS and FURLAN, 2021). Although Brazil is the second largest country in terms of mangrove extension, and has 87% of the entire ecosystem within conservation areas (INSTITUTO CHICO MENDES, 2018), devastation by direct and indirect human action is still noted, which directly compromises the entire ecosystem. Thus, understanding the importance and fragility of this ecosystem for human provision, mitigation and investigation of climate change makes increasingly necessary studies that cover the identification of climate and microclimate changes in relation to this ecosystem, seeking to evaluate attributes such as temperature and relative humidity air, soil/water temperature, global solar radiation, wind direction and speed and rainfall and, through this, achieve reflection on the impacts of anthropogenic interference. Owing to this, continuing the monitoring and analyzes carried out seems to be an important task, not only for the collection of comparative data over the years, but also for the elaboration and foundation of Integral Protection Units for ecosystems.
