Abstract

This research has theoretical-conceptual characteristics; we will discuss, based on theory of psychoanalytic analysis, the standpoint of Josué de Castro that hunger is a taboo topic. Our hypothesis is that hunger is a taboo topic and a traumatic experience for the subject and society, which is systematically disclaimed by the culture. To support our hypothesis, we will explore the taboo, trauma and disclaimer from literary works of Freud and Ferenczi, and other contemporary author's studies that discuss social aspects from a Psychoanalysis perspective. The project will contribute to the debate about the hunger theme in Brazil and to increase the discussions of social phenomena from the psychoanalytic field. (AU)
