Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the tensions related to the psychophysical training of actors, taking as its object of analysis the creative processes of Teatro da Vertigem in the productions of Paraíso Perdido, Livro de Jó, Apocalipse 11,1 and A Última Palavra é a Penúltima. The research is based on practice as a methodology, integrating theory and laboratory experimentation to investigate concepts such as corporeality, viscerality and energy control. The objective is to explore paths for the training of actors who perform in site-specific productions, unraveling the notion of representation and investigating how the subjectivity of each individual contributes to the creative process. In addition, the study aims to establish connections between the dissolution of the boundaries of the artistic and sociopolitical dimensions, which emerge from performances in spaces that carry a symbolic charge.
