Abstract

We propose a Research Internship in the group of prof. Morgan Mitchell (Instituteof Photonic Sciences, Barcelona) during a twelve-month period (September 2025 -August 2026). Prof. Mitchell's group is a pioneer in the application of squeezed lightto atomic sensors. This topic overlaps closely with the PhD research of the studentThéo Louzada Meireles, who has been developing non-classical light sources basedon four-wave mixing in atomic vapors. The project will develop new squeezingmethods and apply them advantageously to atomic sensors such as vapor-phaseoptical magnetometers. The new methods will be transferred to our group in SaoPaulo.
