Abstract

Climate change represents one of the greatest global challenges of our time, with direct impacts on ecosystems, economies, and human populations. Achieving carbon neutrality by mid-century requires a profound transformation across multiple sectors-including energy, transportation, industry, agriculture, and consumption-and demands the strengthening of public policies, technological innovation, and coordinated action between science, the state, and society. In Brazil, a country with great scientific and technological potential, this transition presents a strategic opportunity for sustainable development. In this context, the project proposes the production of a series of journalistic reports based on scientific evidence and technological solutions aimed at mitigating the climate crisis. The reports will be published periodically in the Ponto Futuro section of Nexo Jornal, highlighting topics such as clean energy, agriculture, electric mobility, and industrial eco-innovation. The project is grounded in the process of active mediation between specialized knowledge and society, seeking to strengthen the public's understanding of climate change, encourage civic participation in environmental decision-making, and foster critical engagement with the ongoing transition.
