Abstract

FAPESP Scientific Journalism Fellowship through the Early Detection System for Respiratory Failure through Audio Analysis (SPIRA) project of the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics (IME) of the University of São Paulo (USP). Given my prior knowledge, I intend to use my skills to contribute to the production and dissemination of scientific information that is relevant to the community. I am following IME-USP through its website and social media, especially SPIRA, which, among other actions, uses an Artificial Intelligence system to analyze the voices of people infected with the coronavirus. I believe that working as a fellowship fellow would be a great opportunity to qualify and expand the scope of events and productions related to the aforementioned project, recognizing the potential of the language of scientific journalism.
