Abstract

Classical groups have many algebraic, topological and geometric properties.In this project they will be considered as discrete groups and the applicant will investigate certain aspects of their homology groups. These homology appear in many subjectsof mathematics such as Algebraic K-theory, Geometric group theory and the Theory ofScissors Congruence of polyhedra. (AU)
