Abstract

Introduction: According to the World Health Organization, health is determined by four dimensions: physical, social, psychological, and spiritual.Objective: This study aims to evaluate the impact of religiosity, economic class, anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, and impulsivity on postoperative outcomes in all patients undergoing surgical procedures at Casa da Mão.Methodology: This is a prospective cohort study conducted in the Hand Surgery discipline at "Casa da Mão," part of the Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). All patients undergoing surgical procedures at the unit will be invited to participate. They will be analyzed according to the major groups of surgical procedures performed at this institution: surgeries for acute and chronic pathologies, further subdivided based on the specific procedures performed, including peripheral nerve surgeries, myotendinous procedures, osteoarticular procedures, degenerative surgeries, microsurgical reconstructive procedures, and tumor lesion surgeries.
