Abstract

This project aims to develop, test, and evaluate interdisciplinary teaching sequences for high school education, with a focus on Radiation Physics, particularly dosimetry, a field that studies the measurement of radiation doses absorbed by matter, with important applications in medicine, industry, and radiation protection. The activities will be guided by the principles of Inquiry-Based Learning and the Maker Culture, aligned with the competencies and skills outlined in the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). The goal is to promote scientific literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students in basic education. The teaching sequences will be developed using various resources such as videos, experiments, simulators, games, and other interactive educational tools. In addition to enriching the co.educa platform's content, the project aims to implement and/or monitor the application of these sequences in classrooms within São Paulo's public school system, in collaboration with basic education teachers. The pedagogical impacts will be assessed using evaluation tools developed by the project team. (AU)
