Abstract

This project aims to develop, test, and evaluate interdisciplinary teaching sequences in the fields of Radiation Physics and Astronomy, with a specific focus on the effects of radiation on living organisms. Targeted at high school students, the project is grounded in the principles of Inquiry-Based Learning and the Maker Culture, aligned with the competencies and skills outlined in the Brazilian National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), with the goal of promoting scientific literacy, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The teaching sequences will be developed using pedagogical resources such as experiments, videos, simulators, games, and interactive activities. The biological effects of radiation will be explored in a contextualized and interdisciplinary manner, making the topic relevant to students' civic and scientific education. In addition to contributing new materials to the **co.educa** platform, the initiative aims to generate knowledge about active learning methodologies in Physics and their potential for implementation in public education, strengthening the connection between academic research and classroom practice.
