Abstract

Fuel cells are devices that transform the chemical energy of the oxidation reaction of a fuel into electrical energy and, if hydrogen from renewable sources is used as fuel, are alternatives for generating clean energy. Considering the context of the energy transition, these devices have great potential to offer interesting solutions, however, their production is still very expensive. To reduce the impact of the high cost, this research aims to develop a parametric and topology optimization work in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), increasing their efficiency. The project will be developed based on numerical simulations of the flows present in the device in steady state with the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. Furthermore, this plan predicts for a research internship abroad using BEPE during six months. (AU)
