Abstract

This activity plan aims to present the general lines around which the second topic of axis one (1) of the main project is built. It analyzes a work that, according to its author, aims to show that a philosophical approach can help broaden the understanding of certain public policies to combat poverty and that, therefore, philosophical concepts are not merely "abstract ideas that have nothing to do with reality" (DIETERLEN, 2006, p. 17).In this sense, the main objective here is to analyze, in particular, but not exclusively, the work "Poverty: A Philosophical Study" by Mexican researcher Paulette Dierterlen, with the intention of answering the following question, which is subsidiary to the central question1 that guides this axis of research: Is the concept of poverty defended by the author linked to the minimum? If so, in what senses? If not, in what senses? (AU)
