Abstract

Wind power systems are on the rise as a viable solution for the use of renewable energy by several countries. In this context, for the sizing and planning of wind farms, it is necessary to represent wind turbines using equivalent models, which aim to represent everything from the generator to the control systems and provide a forecast of how the turbine may behave in different situations, resulting in various equivalent models, each with its own application and purpose.However, it is necessary to compare these equivalent models under the same circumstances and parameters in order to verify and validate whether there is equivalence between them, since the models aim to represent the same thing: wind turbines. In this project, two different dynamic equivalent models of DFIG generators will be implemented using block diagrams and simulated under the same parameters and input data, using DigSILENT and MATLAB software, in order to verify their behavior and confirm whether there is equivalence between the models.
