Abstract

The development of analytical methods is essential to ensure product quality, optimize manufacturing processes, guarantee regulatory compliance, and enhance laboratory efficiency. Well-established methods contribute to innovation, consumer safety, cost reduction, and organizational success. However, some drug delivery systems, such as thermoresponsive supramolecular systems, still lack adequate analytical methodologies. Supramolecular systems-especially supra-amphiphilic ones-offer innovative advantages, including reduced need for chemical synthesis, responsiveness to external stimuli (pH and temperature), improved drug stability and solubility, and the potential for controlled release, making them promising for the treatment of specific pathologies. The supra-amphiphilic meglumine system, for example, is thermoresponsive and exhibits these advantageous properties. In this context, this project proposes the development and validation of thermoanalytical methodologies, including Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA). These techniques are considered excellent analytical approaches, particularly for thermoresponsive drug delivery systems. Therefore, upon their development and validation, they may serve as the gold standard for quality control analysis of such systems. Additionally, stability tests are essential to determine shelf life, ideal storage conditions, and regulatory compliance, ensuring product safety and efficacy throughout its lifespan.
