Abstract

We will employ the available LHC data on top quark production to constrain extensions of the Standard Model in the framework of the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) as well as of the Higgs Effective Field Theory (HEFT). In addition, we aim to explore quartic gauge boson couplings in vector boson scattering (VBS) processes, utilizing polarization and spin-correlation observables. Preliminary results have already been obtained for both the top quark sector and VBS processes. Through Monte Carlo simulations, detailed analysis of experimental data, and the application of statistical and machine learning techniques, we aim to place precise constraints on the relevant effective operators. The ultimate goal is to uncover possible signatures of physics beyond the Standard Model at current and future collider experiments. (AU)
