Abstract

Tools for early diagnosis of pregnancy in buffaloes aim to identify, as soon as possible, non-pregnant animals with the aim of carrying out heat resynchronization, in order to shorten the interval between births. This is essential as identifying heat in buffaloes is difficult as these females show few signs of estrus. In the search for effective diagnostic methods, our study aims to identify early biomarkers for the diagnosis of pregnancy, with the aim of detecting non-pregnant animals as early as possible and carrying out their resynchronization, which will reduce the interval between births and increase efficiency. herd reproduction. Furthermore, better understanding how the physiology of early gestational development works in buffaloes could be an alternative to improving their reproductive rates.
